Pupil Funding

Pupil Premium & Service Children Funding

At Stanton Cross Primary School, we are committed to promoting the progress and attainment of all children, whatever their background.  The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their wealthier peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most (taken from the DFE website).  You can find our 3-year Pupil Premium strategy in the sidebar on the right.   This explains how we are using Pupil Premium funding this year to overcome the main barriers to achievement faced by the eligible pupils and also the impact of how this funding was used in the past.

PE & Sports Premium Funding

PE & Sports Premium funding should be used to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport that schools offer. This means that they should use the Primary PE and Sport Premium to:

  • develop or add to the PE and sport activities that your school already offers
  • build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years

At Stanton Cross, we focus on the whole child and this includes developing their physical and mental health.  To find out how we use the PE & Sports Premium funding to help us with this aim, both this year and in the past, please take a look at the reports on the sidebar.
